“For the last Eight years now, Figub Brazlevič has been working and dropping music from BerlinMoabit
– he has had a total of Twenty-One years of experience. His inspiration comes from a variety
of musical genres like jazz, funk, or soul, he is always open to collaborate with artists from all over
the world, always looking for the right groove, added to his own unique style and flavour.
Most recognisable are the concise drums and percussions, which he uses to underline his beats and
capture the spirit of the 90’s Golden Era, which influences Figub Brazlevic’s entire musical career.
His roots are 90’s, but his sound declares its own, timeless claim, namely to be open to any kind of
musical influence and inspiration.
Figub Brazlevič grew up in the south-west of Germany in front of the idyllic backdrop of the Danube
and Lake Constance. Hardly had he outgrown his child shoes, he began screwing together his first
productions, with the help of a simple technique and with nothing but his own ambition. From the
composition of the first beats everything else quickly started to take form.
Due to the feeling of not fitting into the scene of German Rap at the time, he deliberately decided
to leave his home and look for his happiness in Switzerland and in Austria – two countries, in which
the Artists had similar vibes than to those back home. In Zurich and Vienna, contacts were made
that helped Figub Brazlevič develop his music career. He was able to record his first successes, and
set himself new targets. Not only did his enthusiasm for creativity grow, but also his claim grew
again and again. Following the moves made in Zurich and Vienna Figub decided to move to Berlin
in 2009.
Since moving to Berlin Figub has produced National, as well as International successful Albums. Not
only his Instrumental-Releases as a solo-Artist, but his archive holds masterpieces such as Kool
Savas’ “Limit” and Kollegah’s “Golden Era Tour Tape”, that have been rewarded a Golden Record.
Even with such success, Figub stays cool and concentrated at the head of European Boom Bap. Last
Year the Swedish Rapper Christmas’s Debut Album “Ego & Soul” was dropped on the newly
arranged Label Krekpek Records. With support from London based Teknical Development and
BlabberMouf from Netherlands, they went on a 4 man 24 show Tour in Germany, Netherlands,
Luxembourg, Austria and Switzerland. Never has the To-Do List been as full as now: Sequel to
Oldschool Future, Collaborations, and International Productions.
